Shop 'n Save Deals: 9/28/09 - 10/3/09

Shop 'n Save has both store and manufacturer coupons in their ad this week. Take a look at them and you'll be able to tell them apart. Manufacturer coupon have a bar code and store coupons have a PLU #. Remember, you can use both a store and a manufacturer coupon on an item, but not two manufacturer coupon on the same item.

Edit: Andrea has really good eyes and let me know the $3 off 4 General Mills Products in-ad coupon states, "no other coupon may be used with this coupon." It doesn't look like you can stack this coupon with manufacturer coupons . Thanks Andrea for catching this.

I only highlight the best deals. Take a look at Shop 'n Saves full ad here.

Remember:
1. NO $10 off $50 purchase this Thursday.
2. Shop 'n Save does not double coupons.
3. Shop 'n Save accepts internet printable coupons up to 50% of the product retail price. Take a look at Shop 'n Save Internet Printable Coupon Acceptance Policy.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons.

Menu Plan Monday - Week of 9/28/09

We have two potluck picnics this week. Ever since picnic season started, I've taken Rice Krispie treats to every group picnic I've gone to. I love having the all-but-free Rice Krispies, and even better, I don't have to think about what to take. I wonder how long it will take before anyone notices I always bring these? Or maybe they already call me the Rice Krispie Treat lady.

Monday: Swedish meatballs with cream gravy, mashed potatoes, lingonberry preserves

Tuesday: Fajitas

Wednesday: School picnic - I'll take Rice Krispie Treats

Thursday: Pork tenderloin, hash browns, cauliflower, homemade applesauce

Friday: Blueberry pancakes, bacon, orange juice

Saturday: Chili, corn bread, apple slices

Sunday: Neighborhood Oktoberfest - I'll take Rice Krispie Treats

If you would like more meal planning ideas, visit Menu Plan Monday at orgjunkie.com

Sunday's St Louis Post-Dispatch has Three coupon inserts - a SmartSource, a RedPlum and a P&G.

Some of my favorite coupons this week:

  • FREE Purina Friskies Natural Sensations cat treats
  • B2G1 S&W Beans
  • $4 Fussion Razor
  • $2 Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire
  • $2 ACT Flavor
  • $1 Fusion Shave Gel
  • $1 Tide
  • $1 White Cloud bath tissue or paper towel

  • $1 Crest Kid's Toothpaste
  • $1 Colgate Total
  • $1 Colgate 360 Toothbrush
  • $1 California Pizza Kitchen product
  • $1 Celestial Seasoning tea bags
  • $1 off 4 Libby Vegetables

Remember: You want multiple coupons to use when a product is at a rock bottom price. When it's a good coupon insert week, I purchase 4 or 5 papers and sometimes acquire more. At first, I thought it was crazy to spend money to save money. But I've always saved much more than my $1 investment.

DEAL$ and Dollar Tree sell the Sunday Post-Dispatch for $1. The early edition is published on Saturday and it includes all the coupon inserts. And they usually still have Sunday papers left on Monday. Find the Deal$ or Dollar Tree closest to you.
