Saved 73% this Week

Last week, I didn't do much shopping, but didn't want to miss the deals. So I went to a couple of stores over the weekend. Then I was back at the stores on Thursday and Friday. With the multiple shopping trips, I ended up way over budget. I've learned my lesson - if I miss a week's deals, just move on.

Target

I used overage from the camera and cocoa mix to help pay for the garbage bags and corn muffin mix. When I get overage, I try to use it for items I haven't been able to pick up on sale or don't have coupons for.

Last Saturday, I realised I had Register Rewards expiring. So I grabbed them and ran to Walgreens without a plan or a coupon. It worked out that I was able to roll some of them, and I bought toilet paper with the rest of them. Since starting couponing, I don't think I have ever shopped at Walgreens without coupons; it was a strange feeling. This week was better with the Progresso, Mars and John Frieda coupons.

Shop 'n Save

My cashier this week at Shop 'n Save called me "That Woman." The cashier I like to check out with wasn't working, and the only other cashier I recognized I knew I wouldn't check out with. I rolled the dice and picked a lane. About halfway through scanning my coupons, the cashier stopped, looked up at me and said, "You're that woman."

Oh my, I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I asked her and I didn't get an answer, but she said the clerks talk about a woman who hardly spends anything on groceries. I hope I didn't disappoint her. I spent more at Shop 'n Save this week that I can ever remember spending since I started using coupons.
