I menu plan on Sunday. Since the new grocery ads don't come out until the first part of the week, this forces me to plan with what I already have in the freezer and pantry. I then make my grocery list with the best buys and not a whole list of things I need. This way, I get the most for my money and use what I already have.
Monday: BLT's, Cole Slaw, Fruit
Tuesday: Grilled Chicken Breasts, Roasted Potatoes, Green Salad
Wednesday: Frozen pizza (cooked on the grill)
Thursday: Turkey Burgers, chips, celery sticks
Friday: Steaks, grilled veggies, green salad
Saturday: Pork Steaks, baked beans, corn on the cob
Sunday: Hamburgers, chips & salsa, fruit
