Last week, Ann at Coupons Deals and More mentioned she was Walgreens weary. Yes, that is exactly how I feel. So last Saturday, I decided to spend all my Register Rewards. It didn't quite work out as I had planned. My husband informed me our son in college had taken all the razors with him back to school, so I ended up with a Register Reward from the razor my husband needed. And, then there was this week's Excedrin money-maker I couldn't pass up. So I still have a few Register Rewards to spend. I'm going to get them spent and go Register Reward free - someday.

I needed to buy dog food and had been waiting for my $10 Target giftcard to arrive from MyPoints.com, and then I got overage from the Gillette products. It all worked out perfectly. I hate to spend money on dog food.

I don't buy or use Hamburger Helper, but this week it was a small money-maker and I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to cannibalize the box and use the macaroni noodles for something else. I've heard it's a much better product than it was in the past. But, I still think I'm going to pass.

Aldi

This week, I found out how Aldi's double guarantee works. I bought a ham last Sunday because of an additional $5 off sale. The use-by date was the 28th. I planned on cooking and using it up during the week, so that shouldn't have been a problem. When I opened the ham on Monday, it was slimy. So, back to Aldi it went. They refunded my money and offered me another ham as a replacement. I chose to leave the replacement ham at the store. One slimy ham is enough for me.
