Saved 84% This Week

I didn't do a whole lot of shopping or saving last week, but I made up for it this week. I got to know quite a few cashiers at Kmart. And at Schnucks, my favorite cashier was working. I even impressed him with my savings, and he's used to my fist full of coupons.

Kmart

Double Coupon Event, six days, 31 items (one of the items I got free with a Kmart K'ching award coupon) - priceless.

Schnucks

This was a great week for Catalina coupons at Schnucks. I did three transactions to roll the Catalinas. 1st purchase was the Pillsbury rolls; I spent $2.50 and got a $4 Catalina. 2nd transaction was Pebbles and 7 UP; spent $0.12 after coupons and the $4 Catalina, and got back $4.50 in Catalinas. I bought all the other items in the 3rd transaction for $1.30 after coupons and spending my $4.50 Catalina. Thank you readers who left comments on what great deals you were finding at Schnucks.

My last stop shopping this week was at Dierbergs. My plan was to spend the rest of my budget there, and I did. I take my calculator with me and keep a running total of how much I have in my budget left to spend. There were some great deals at Dierbergs this week. I might have to go back before their sale week is over.

I couldn't come up with enough good deals at Shop 'n Save to get to $50 to save the $10, so I just picked up the couple of items I wanted and called it quits.
