After some ho hum deals this summer, I was getting a little concerned that the fantastic deals were not going to surface this fall like they did last year. The grocery stores have put my concern to rest.
Shop 'n Save

This was another great week at Shop 'n Save. I shopped twice on $10 off $50 Thursday. The first time checking out, I had enough Catalina coupons that I didn't even need to use a $5 off $50 coupon from the Entertainment Book. I did use one on my second shop. And as a nice surprise, a $5 coupon for Bar S products came in Thursday's mail. I don't have any idea how I got on their mailing list, but I'm not complaining.

Schnucks

It's unusual that there are fantastic deals at two grocery stores in the same week, but boy, there were this week. The $1 overage per bag of Purina One pet food helped me keep my out of pocket to a minimum. I knew I was at my budget, and even though I wanted to pick up more of the GM Catalina deals, I called it quits for the week. I'm planning on getting back to Schnucks this weekend before the Catalina deal is over.

CVS

I don't get to CVS as often as I would like. Until the new store opens in my area, they are not the most convenient for me. I had ECB's expiring this week, so I was extremely happy when the $4 off $20 CVS coupon appeared. I started with $12 in ECB's and ended with $23. All in all, a very good week at CVS.

Target

This was the big hit to my budget . I don't know why toilet paper is one of the hardest items to get a really good price on - at least the brands my family will use.

Splurge Funds: $14.84For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale or that I don't have coupons for.
