Saved 69% This Week

I got out to do some shopping last weekend. I'm  glad I did because our street turned into an ice rink  (I'm still waiting for the Zamboni to go by), and the driveway became a Bobsled Run with the finish line in the neighbors front yard.  We could have held the winter Olympics on our street.

Thanks goodness for a stockpile. In years past, I would have been a world of hurt. I would not have been able to make those couple three fill-in trips back to the store. I'm sure you know those types of trips - one item you need to fix dinner turns into a $25 purchase.

Schnucks
I used my rain check and coupons to pick up the Crunch 'n Clean for free.  And, Malt-O-Meal was free after coupons, so all I paid for was juice and broccoli.

Target
Last Saturday, was date night for my husband and I at Target.  When you have a teenager in the house, you can't pick up too many frozen pizzas.

Splurge Funds: $242.83

For those who don't read my blog on a regular basis, my splurge funds are the difference between what I've actually spent and my $50 budget. I use it for those items I never find on sale, don't have coupons for, or when I'm over budget.

Last year, I spent my extra splurge funds for a freezer.  This year, I'm saving them to redo my pantry.
