Beyond Pop-Tarts and Fruit Roll Ups

I've certainly bought my fair share of Pop-Tarts and Fruit Roll Ups, but I do think about healthier alternatives. I was excited when Jennifer, a reader, contacted me about her new blog, Healthy Life Deals.

I've always wanted to incorporate healthier alternatives into my blog, but I just haven't been able to find the time. Now, with Jennifer's help I'm going to include Whole Foods in my weekly posts.

I'll let Jennifer introduce herself:

Hello Fellow CouponSTL Fans-
My name is Jennifer and I’m a 37yr old unemployed nanny. Finding Jeri’s blog has turned me into a coupon addict. My husband is embarrassed to walk into the store with me and my coupon binder- hee hee. I am sure most of you can relate that it is painful to think of paying full price for anything. I have days when I can’t bare to pay more than 10% of the regular price for anything. Then one day I realized that I was buying a lot of processed food- I got most of them for free or a pennies but they were mostly processed unhealthy items. Looking at my storage shelf filled with 23 boxes of pop tarts, 18 bags chips, and more Hershey Special Dark bars than I could count-OOPS. I realized I needed to live healthier but could I afford it??

It was then that I decided to prove people wrong (including myself) that you can live a healthy life on a TIGHT budget. I decided to try out Whole Foods at one point nicknamed “Whole Paycheck” and figure out a way to shop there without spending my “Whole Paycheck”. I was thrilled to find that there are a TON of healthy deals to be had. Jeri will start posting my weekly list for Whole Foods from my Healthy Life Deals blog. Which is full of freebies, giveaways, printable coupons, etc. focused mainly on encouraging a healthier life? Hope you check it out and enjoy it. Questions and Comments are welcomed. Thank you Jeri for this opportunity!

Jennifer, where did you find the free chips? I must have missed that deal.
