CVS $5 Scenario - Week of 6/19/11


You can save a ton of money at CVS rolling ECBs.  Multiple transactions don't seem to be a problem with CVS cashiers.  But, if a line forms behind you, it is courteous to step aside after a couple of transactions and let the other shoppers check out.

purchase:
(2) Pantene Hair Care $6.97
(1) PowerBar Energy or Protein Bites $2.49
use:
(1) $3/2 Pantene coupon (6/19/11 SS) -$3.00
ECB from previous week - $5.99
= $0.47 + tax and get  $2 ECB and a $2.49 ECB

Transaction #2
purchase:
(1) Hershey's Bliss $5.99
use:
(1) Hershey's Bliss coupon (5/01/11 SS) - $1.00
$2 ECB from last transaction -2.00
$2.49 ECB from last transaction - $2.49
= $0.50 + tax out of pocket and get a $5.99 ECB

Transaction #3
purchase:
(1) Irish Spring Deodorant or Body Wash $2.99
(1) Dep or L.A. Looks Gel $2.99
use:
ECB from previous transaction - $5.98 (cashier will reduce)
= $0.00 ( + tax if you pay in your state) and Get a $2 ECB and another $2 ECB

purchase:
(2) B1G1 Schick Hydro 3 Razors $8.99 (estimated price)
(2) Colgate Total Toothpaste @$2.79 each = $5.58
use:
(2) $4 Schick Hydro coupons (6/12/11 SS) - $8.00
(2) $1 Colgate Total coupons (6/12/11 SS) - $2.00
$2 ECB from last transaction -$2.00
$2 ECB from last transaction -$2.00
= $0.57 + tax out of pocket and get a $4 ECB
