Aldi Produce Picks - Week of 1/15/12

January 15 - 21, 2012

Aldi has their Spiral Sliced Hams marked down.  There was a sign in the window hams were $4 off the regular price.  But at the store I shop, they were actually $6 off.  The use by date is at the end of the week.  Keep in mind you can freeze ham.

Aldi now has their local ads online.   Produce Pick start on Sunday and Special Buys on Wednesday.  If you're not in the St Louis area, check your local area's ad for prices and dates.

:: Aldi Produce Picks ::

Baby Carrots (16 oz) - $0.45
Yellow Onions (3 lb. bag) - $0.59
Spinach (9 oz. bag) - $0.69
Yukon Gold Potatoes (5 lb. bag) - $0.99
Vine Tomatoes (24 oz) - $1.29
Multi-Colored Peppers (3 ct) - $1.29

It's been a while since I've listed Milk, Butter and Egg prices for Aldi.  They always have the best price on milk and butter, and unless you can catch a great sale on eggs, they are the best price at Aldi too.

Skim Milk (gallon) - $2.79
2% Milk (gallon) - $2.89
Whole Milk (gallon) - $2.99
Eggs (dozen) - $1.39
Butter (1 lb) - $2.20

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been awhile:
1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons

If you buy something at Aldi you are not please with, they have a double guarantee. If for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with any product, they will replace the product AND refund your money. More info HERE.
