Kmart: Free and Cheap week of 8/31/09

Kmart is doubling coupons again, up to $2, in the St Louis area (Missouri & Illinois) the week of August 31st.

I was all excited to hear the news about Kmart doubling coupons again - until I gave it a second thought. It's only been a couple of weeks since the last double event, the same Kmart monthly ad is in effect, I used up my good coupons two weeks ago, and when I went to check on prices, many of the free items had not been restocked.

Most of the Kmart coupon match-ups are the same as two weeks ago. I noted as *New* the items added for this week's event.

Double Coupon Details:

• Participating stores only will double coupons up to $2 with a purchase of $25 of more in grocery and drugstore merchandise.
• Limit 10 coupons per customer per day.
• You may only purchase 4 of the same items using double coupons.
• Excludes Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart savings coupons and Kmart Store coupon.
• Amount of credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the current retail price of a single item.
• NO cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item.
• Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased.
• Only 1 coupon will be doubled per item.

Additional notes:

• I have seen many products at Kmart long past their use by date. Check every product you want to purchase.
• Coupons for multiple items ($1 off 2) might not double for the entire amount. I stay away from those coupons if the cost of one item is less that than doubled coupon.
• Kmart doesn't always mark their sale items. Check the prices at the price check scanner in the aisle.
• Kmart's prices are not always consistent from store to store. The prices listed are the prices I found at my store. Your store might have different prices.
