Aldi Price Check - Grapes, Cantaloupes + More

September 13, 2009

I've been watching Aldi's prices creep up the last few weeks. In my former life, before couponing, I never understood how I was spending more and more at the store each week. Now, I understand - 10 cents here, 30 cents there - it all adds up for that higher bill at the end, but it's not very noticeable on one product.

If you haven't shopped at Aldi, or it has been a while:1. Make sure you have a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. The carts are like luggage carts at the airport. You rent them for a quarter, and you get your quarter back when you return the cart.
2. Take your own bags. Aldi does not provide free bags for your groceries.
3. Aldis now accepts debit cards.
4. Aldis does not accept coupons.
